Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod ‘Bags Bags Bags’ Aims to Ease Your Inventory Management

Baldur's Gate 3 Mod

Among the prolific world of Baldur's Gate 3 mods, a new one has caught our attention. Created by Nexus Mods user Liareth, the mod 'Bags Bags Bags' seeks to improve the game's not-so-great inventory management by adding 21 new containers, several of which support auto stacking of items.

These containers are added to the Nautiloid tutorial chest, where players can get them for free. If they miss them there or they are already beyond the starting point, they can be purchased by visiting Arron (a vendor NPC available at Druid Grove in Act 1) and Danthelon (another vendor NPC available at Wyrm's Crossing, just outside Baldur's Gate, in Act 3).

Here's the full list of the containers added by this Baldur's Gate 3 mod:

Autostack Containers: Several containers feature auto stack, automatically collecting certain items upon looting, akin to the Alchemy Bag from the base game:

  • Arrows
  • Books
  • Grenade Satchel
  • Poisons
  • Potion pouch
  • Scroll case

Standard Containers: Most containers lack auto stack, designed for camp organization or user-determined storage:

  • Armor bag
  • Bits and Bobs
  • Boots bag
  • Cloak bag
  • Clothes bundle
  • Dye sack
  • Gear (mixed gear / useful to carry in the field)
  • Gloves bag
  • Helm bag
  • Jewelry case
  • Keepsakes Box
  • Quest Items
  • Shield bag
  • Valuables
  • Weapon bag

Supported languages: This mod supports nearly every language available in the game, localized by kind users whose details can be found in the credits section.

  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Chinese
  • Chinese Traditional
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Polish
  • Russian

To install the Baldur's Gate 3 mod 'Bags Bags Bags', you can either use a mod manager like Vortex by Nexus Mods or BG3 Mod Manager (the latter provided you get version 1.0.9.1 or later) or just install manually by extracting BagsBagsBags.zip to %LOCALAPPDATA%/Larian Studios/Baldur's Gate 3/Mods, open LOCALAPPDATA%/Larian Studios/Baldur's Gate 3/PlayerProfiles/Public/modsettings.lsx with Notepad (or any other text editor, and add the following entries mentioned here.

This mod is compatible with existing saves. Users should take a long rest to refresh the store inventories before they can see the containers, though. Needless to say, if you remove the mod while the containers are storing some items, those items will be lost.

In other Baldur's Gate 3 news, the game has seemingly already surpassed 5.2 million units sold on Steam, although Larian didn't yet confirm the figure shared by the Belgian Embassy.
