Red Dead Redemption could be getting a remaster soon, as the game was recently rated again in South Korea.
The new rating, which can be checked out here, doesn't provide any new information other than the fact that the rating is for a console game. As Rockstar Games is usually very careful about leaks, however, this could be a whole lot of nothing, so we should wait for an official announcement to see if we will indeed be able to experience John Marston's story on modern gaming hardware.
Rumors regarding a Red Dead Redemption remaster have been circulating for a while, but nothing has been announced to date. According to the latest unofficial report from 2022, the remaster has been in the works since the final few months of 2020, and a PC version of it is also in the works, which would mark the game's official debut on the platform as it only released back in the day on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
As of now, the only Old West open-world experience available on modern gaming platforms is Red Dead Redemption 2, which is one of the best games ever put out by Rockstar Games, despite some issues here and there, as highlighted by Alessio in his review.
Red Dead Redemption 2 may not be perfect, but its minor shortcomings are like tiny blemishes on a stunningly beautiful face. In a way, they only serve as a reminder of how this world isn't made for perfection. Every single aspect of the game will put you into the very shoes of an outlaw roaming America with his gang as they try to escape the law long enough to make the money needed to disappear for good. It's an epic, memorable and engrossing tale which also elevates the open world genre to new heights with the brand new interaction system, a cast of unforgettable characters and a ton of high-quality content to play for a long time.
