Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4, New Dragon Ball FighterZ Balance Patch Announced

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4

The Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series seemed to be over and done since the release of Ultimate Tenkaichi and the Kinect-exclusive game back in 2011 and 2012, but that wasn't the case, as a fourth main entry in the series is currently in the works.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was announced with a brand new trailer shared during the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2022/2023 finals. The trailer, unfortunately, doesn't reveal a release window, so we do not know when the game will release. Platforms have yet to be confirmed as well.

The Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 announcement wasn't the only gaming news that came during yesterday's event. Dragon Ball FighterZ, the latest fighting game based on the series developed by Arc System Works will not only get a beta on Steam sometime this Spring to test rollback netcode implementation but also a balance patch. The announcement of a balance patch is extremely welcome, considering how strong characters like Lab Coat 21 are in the current version of the game.

The Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi made its debut back in 2005 on PlayStation 2 before becoming a multiplatform release. Unlike traditional fighting games, the series originally developed by Spike featured a behind-the-back third-person camera that better represented the explosive fights the series is known for. It is not yet known if the fourth entry in the series will retain this unique feature, but it will still be interesting to see how the series' formula will evolve for the upcoming game.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is currently in development, and platforms and release window have yet to be confirmed. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
