Davaoeno lawyer tells Mayor Richard Gomez to behave in viral open letter. Read why!

Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez is switching places with his wife Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and allegedly issued a statement saying that if the good Lord will bless him and win the Congressional seat (4th District of Leyte) vacated by his wife, he would like to work on bringing back ABS-CBN.

The reason being? He is not Richard Gomez now without ABS-CBN.

Mayor Gomez’s statement did please the Duterte supporters who are anti-ABS-CBN since the start of the much-publicized debate in Congress to grant or not to grant a new franchise for the Kapamilya network.

The Luminous, a known pro-Duterte FB page, especially Atty. Ahmed Paglinawan aka AGP wasted no time in calling out Mayor Gomez on Facebook.

Kooya Richard, nasaan ba ang loyalty mo? Atty. Ahmed asked the follow-up questions to know Mayor Gomez’s loyalty.

Sa bansa na may-akda ng mga batas na nilabag?

O sa kumpanyang lumabag ng mga batas na ito?

Atty. Ahmed advised Mayor Gomez to think hard before answering his questions designed to test whether the aspiring lawmaker values his loyalty more to ABS-CBN because of debt of gratitude or to his country?

Isipin mong mabuti ang sagot mo, brad. Gusto mong maging mambabatas, pero tinataguyod mo ang mga lumalabag sa batas? Mas matimbang ang utang na loob mo sa ABS-CBN kesa sa pagpapatupad ng batas? Wala ka bang utang na loob sa bayan? Ayus ah.

Atty. Ahmed offered one more advice to Mayor Gomez if he expects the public to believe that he will become a good lawmaker.

Umayos ka brad. Yan ay kung gusto mong may maniwala sa iyo na magiging mabuti kang mambabatas.

Atty. Ahmed concluded the brief open letter with a warning to Mayor Gomez to shape up.

Lest you forget that if not of the Torreses’ influence in Ormoc you wouldn’t have made it as mayor. You failed in your attempts at Congress before, wrote one netizen.

A 2nd netizen wrote: The start of your downfall friend Rich, I thought all along you’re so upright government servant! Well maybe you can bring back another entity with a new franchise application, but no longer by the name ABS-CBN and should comply first all financial obligations and other legal requirements to the Republic of the Philippines. To God always be the Glory.
