On Twitter, Senate President Tito Sotto criticized the Duterte government because it is now talking about calibrating our pandemic response like giving booster shots. Sotto thinks the government’s strategy is a failure because our response was not well-thought out? In other words, Sotto does not welcome the government’s change of strategy in the middle of the pandemic.

Vax vax vax! Ok, but what happens after 6 months? Ano, ulitan? Nabigla diskarte natin. Change strategy naman por Dios y por Santo!

On that note, Senate President Tito Sotto’s remark did not make more popular either on Twitter as netizens made sure he knows their opinion by replying to his tweet.

@ndrwbrnrd tweeted that watching a politician, paid by taxpayer’s money, criticizes the government instead of helping and fix the problem is so painful.

It is so painful to see a politician getting paid for their services from people’s tax, but instead of helping and fix the problem, they become a burden. Keep complaining about the situation while normal people keep looking for a way on how to survive. Proactive and not reactive.

Meanwhile on Facebook, Atty. Ahmed of the Luminous led the charge among the Duterte admin supporters in poking fun at Senate President Tito Sotto for making such remark.

Atty. Ahmed joked that SP Sotto’s statement can be blamed for his little knowledge of the science behind our pandemic response because his brain capacity cannot accommodate the terrabtye requirement necessary to store all the knowledge required to make a correct opinion.

Atty. Ahmed said that Sotto’s critical and ill-educated statement is a symptom of a TRAPO or traditional politician.

Traditional politicians refuse to acquire new knowledge, to use their brain to think a little to make an informed and personal decision.

Why? Because, according to Atty. Ahmed, TRAPO like Sotto prefers other people to do the work for them.

Atty. Ahmed ended the FB post by asking netizens who are obviously voters if they will still vote for the likes of Sotto?
