Ubisoft Leamington Officially Closes Its Doors After 23 Years

Ubisoft Leamington Spa has officially closed its studio doors, following confirmation from Ubisoft back in January that the studio would be shutting down. Originally founded as FreeStyleGames in 2002, the Leamington Spa team was the oldest game studio still operating in the area and one of the oldest game studios to be based in Leamington. FreeStyleGames began as an independent team before being acquired by Activision in 2008, where it led the development of DJ Hero, DJ Hero 2, and Guitar Hero Live.
