NVIDIA Hybrid Ray Tracing Translucency Added in Deliver Us Mars; The Lamplighters League Supports DLSS 2

NVIDIA Hybrid Ray Tracing Translucency

Today, NVIDIA provided an update on the RTX and DLSS technologies available in PC games. The sci-fi adventure game Deliver Us Mars is being updated to support 'Hybrid Ray Tracing Translucency', adding reflection and refraction on windows, helmets, cockpit glass, and other transparent and translucent surfaces. Deliver Us Mars launched in early February 2023 with DLSS 2 and 3, NVIDIA Reflex, ray-traced reflections, and ray-traced shadows. The game earned a 7.5 out of 10 score in Wccftech's review written by Francesco De Meo:

Deliver Us Mars is an improvement over its predecessor in pretty much every way, featuring an excellent, more relatable, and personal story and expanded gameplay that fans of the original will enjoy. With a great and mature story going over current themes, Deliver Us Mars is the game to get for those looking to be immersed in a believable and personal space opera.  However, the linearity of the experience, the mundanity of certain puzzles, and the technical issues prevent it from being an unmissable masterpiece.

NVIDIA also confirmed that The Lamplighters League, the XCOM-like turn-based tactics game developed by Harebrained Schemes and released today on PC and Xbox Series S|X, supports NVIDIA DLSS 2 (Super Resolution). The Lamplighters League is also available on Game Pass.

The Green team also recapped some recently released games with DLSS and RTX support. Lodestar, an online co-op adventure game made by indie studio Edenic Era LLC, was released a month and a half ago with DLSS 2 support. Witchfire launched last week in early access with DLSS 2 and 3 support. Lastly, DESORDRE: A Puzzle Game Adventure was updated to support path tracing (powered by NVIDIA RESTIR Global Illumination and RESTIR Direct Illumination) and DLSS 3.
