Assassin’s Creed Franchise Promotion Combines Free Weekend and Huge Discounts

Assassin's Creed

Today, Ubisoft announced an imminent Assassin's Creed franchise promotion that combines free access to up to five (depending on the platform) of the series' most popular games during the weekend with significant discounts. The games are Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, Black Flag, and Valhalla, though their availability follows these rules:

For Ubisoft Connect, Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations are the originally-released games. On consoles, these games are available in their remastered editions as part of the Ezio Collection. On Xbox One and Series X/S, all five games are available as part of the free weekend. On Ubisoft Connect, Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, and Valhalla are available as part of the free weekend. On PlayStation, Valhalla is available in the free weekend, while the Ezio Collection and Black Flag are available as part of the PlayStation Extra subscription service. Finally, on Epic Games Store, only Assassin's Creed Valhalla is part of the free weekend.

All these games will be available from August 10th to August 14th. Do note that on Xbox, an active Live Gold (soon to be renamed Game Pass Core) subscription will be required to download any of the titles. Should you be interested in any of those games after the trial period, Ubisoft has prepared huge discounts of up to 75%.

  • PC via Ubisoft Connect: From 9th August until 17th August, players can get up to 75 percent off Assassin’s Creed Games as well as receive an additional £4 credit in their Ubisoft Store Wallet to spend on any item in the Ubisoft Store until 19th October, including Assassin’s Creed Mirage at launch.
  • PlayStation: From now until 15th August, players can get up to 80 percent off Assassin’s Creed Games.
  • Xbox: From 10th – 14th August, Xbox will have a unique “Buy One Get Two Free” program for many Assassin’s Creed games, including Black Flag and Valhalla. After that, between 15th – 28th August, players can get up to 85% off many Assassin’s Creed titles, including the games available in the Free Weekend.

Following the success of Valhalla, which earned well over $1 billion in revenue, the next franchise installment, Mirage, marks a return to series roots with a more contained campaign that should only last up to twenty hours. Mirage is set to be released on October 12th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X.
