Persona 3 Remake Domain Update Hints at Imminent Announcement

Persona 3 Remake

The Persona 3 remake has quickly become one of the worst-kept gaming secrets of 2023, but it definitely seems like its official announcement is imminent, as the web domain speculated to be related to the remake was updated today.

As reported by Persona Central, the P3RE.JP web domain was moved from Onamae to Amazon, which is what all Atlus domains use. While this may not mean much, per se, Atlus seems to move their domains to Amazon a few days before announcing the projects they are related to, as this happened both with major releases such as Persona 5 Royal and minor spin-off titles like Persona Q2 and the rhythm games Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. As rumors say that the Persona 3 remake will be announced during Sunday's Xbox Showcase, the timing of the domain update fits almost perfectly in the pattern.

Very little is currently known about the Persona 3 remake. The game won't be a mere remaster but a full-blown remake that will feature so many updates that it will be a new game for many, according to insiders. The remake, however, may not include all of the content that has been created for Persona 3, so there's a good chance the FES version's post-game campaign The Answer, and the female main character seen in Portable may not get included. Development is said to be quite far along, so it may not take a long time to see the game release after its announcement.

Those who wish to experience the original Persona 3 on modern platforms can get the aforementioned Persona 3 Portable, which is now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and Nintendo Switch.
