Redfall Full Recommended/Ultra PC Requirements Are Fairly Low Despite Console 30fps Limit

Redfall

As you may have heard, it was recently announced that Redfall will only run at 30fps on Xbox Series X/S consoles at launch (a decision that was seemingly made just recently). This is a bit perplexing, as the game isn’t really a great looker, and if you were hoping for some hint as to why the XSX can’t handle Redfall at 60fps the game's PC requirements aren't a great help.

Bethesda and Arkane have revealed the full PC requirements for Redfall, and they’re not overly demanding. The Recommended specs only require a Radeon RX 5700 or GeForce RTX 2080, and the highest Ultra specs call for Radeon RX 6800 XT or a GeForce RTX 3080. Really, the only major standout is RAM – even the Minimum requirements call for 16 GB and Ultra requires 32 GB. Perhaps Arkane’s inexperience with open-world games means they’re just using memory really inefficiently?

Here are the full range of Redfall PC requirements:

Minimum Spec

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.80GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • GPU: AMD RX 580 / NVIDIA GTX 1070 / 6 GB VRAM
  • System RAM: 16 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Storage: 100 GB SSD

Recommended Spec

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: AMD 5700 / NVIDIA RTX 2080 / Intel ARC / 8 GB VRAM
  • System RAM: 16 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Storage: 100 GB SSD

Ultra Spec

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: AMD RX 6800 XT / NVIDIA RTX 3080 / 10 GB VRAM
  • System RAM: 32 GB
  • OS: Windows 11 64-bit
  • Storage: 100 GB SSD

Here’s hoping Redfall performs alright on PC, although it is an Unreal Engine 4 title, and Wccftech’s Alessio Palumbo noted some hitches during his pre-release hands-on time.

Redfall’s suite of accessibility features have also been detailed. These include four difficulty settings, a wide array of visual and control settings, full menu narration, and more. You can get more details here.

Redfall launches on PC and Xbox Series X/S (including Game Pass) on May 2. Need to know more about the game? Here's everything you need to know about Redfall and our latest Q&A with the game's producers. What do you think? Interested in Arkane's latest? Is your PC up to snuff?
