The brand-new arcade racing game KartRider: Drift, recently released by Nexon on PC and mobile devices, features many tracks of various lengths and complexity. However, not all of them are available from the start, as you need to unlock them by completing specific challenges. You will be required to earn three licenses, called B2, B1, and L3.
Your skills will be tested with various trials asking you to perform drifts, use the items in the best possible way, win races against skilled AI drivers, and much more. They are indeed demanding, but if you succeed, you will progressively unlock all the available tracks in the game.
KartRider: Drift currently features 30 different tracks. Only seven of them are available from the beginning of your journey in the game, while the others can only be unlocked by earning the licenses. If you already have some experience with arcade racing games, you will find the initial tracks pretty straightforward and should not have difficulty winning most races in the Item and Speed modes.
However, if you are looking for a higher level of challenge, you will soon want to race on more demanding tracks. And once you unlock all of them, you can always decide if you want to play on specific circuits in the available game modes or have them all enabled.
Eight B2 tracks of increasing difficulty are currently available on KartRider: Drift. You need to earn the B2 license in the License mode to unlock them. There are eleven challenges, and you must get at least one star each to get this driving license. Otherwise, you won’t be able to access the new tracks.
The available challenges involve testing your skills with the Splash attack, learning to aim at targets and hit them, mastering the drifting technique, and much more. They aren't as demanding as the Gran Turismo 7 license challenges, but they are still pretty entertaining.
Seven B1 tracks of greater difficulty than B2 circuits are currently available in the game. They will test your drifting skills with tight and continuous turns. You must get the B1 license in the License menu to unlock them.
Challenges for this one are more demanding than the trials you have already cleared with the B2 license. They involve using the Magnet item, passing as many dummies as possible before the time runs out, improving your drifting skills, and more. In total, there are 14 challenges available for this game mode.
Eight L3 tracks are currently available in KartRider: Drift. They are all pretty demanding and will truly test your driving skills. You need to have a great mastery of the game mechanics; otherwise, you will find yourself off the track in no time or collecting more DNF than you’d wish. There are no long straights on these circuits, so you will heavily rely on the drifting technique.
The L3 license is required to unlock these tracks, so you must complete all the challenges in this game mode. You will be able to practice your jumps, avoid moving obstacles, further train your drifting skills, and more.
The final duel against the IA character, available as the last challenge for every license, can give you a hard time, as it is pretty good at driving. However, you should be able to defeat it if you have perfectly mastered the drifting technique. Stay tuned for more KartRider: Drift guides coming soon!
