This is the personal opinion of Rep. Rodante Marcoleta on some senators are attacking President Duterte to gain free media mileage.

According to the statement of the Rep. Marcoleta via SMNI News, many senators are up for re-election or eyeing a higher position. In other words, they need political mileage and they saw an opportunity by conducting a probe in the middle of the pandemic…They believed that this senate probe will give them the chance to shine and get needed media mileage to boost their re-election chances.
