An open letter addressed to Senator Ping Lacson from ex-Customs Chief Nic Faeldon ACCUSING the former of being a big-time cement smuggler has been making the rounds online.
Faeldon took to Facebook after the Sandiganbayan affirmed the arrest order for the former Customs Chief for two counts of graft for approving the release of P34-million worth of smuggled rice in 2017. [Link here]
Faeldon began by making it clear that he has still faith in our justice system and also mentioned that the senator has filed many cases against him but some of those filed earlier were already dismissed by the courts.
Faeldon said he was thankful that Lacson filed cases against him because it will give him the chance to defend himself and clear his name by bringing out the truth.
Faeldon confided to netizens that in the senate hearing, he, like other resource persons, was not given the chance to talk and defend the accusation against him because the senators like Lacson were interested in preventing the truth from coming out by either intimidation tactics or cutting off the resource person when talking.
Faeldon admitted that he used to admire Senator Lacson, but he was shocked to discover, he was one of the big time smugglers in the country.

CEMENT SMUGGLING NA AYAW IMBISTIGAHAN
To the Hon. Senator Panfilo Lacson, Sr.:
As of this writing, Faeldon’s FB post has generated 14,000+ reactions, 3,000 comments and 12,000+ shares since it was published on September 18, 2021 and counting.
This Faeldon allegation was first made public in 2017 by Nic Faeldon and the senator from denied the allegation. [Link here]
“…It doesn’t make sense that I will expose the shenanigans in the BOC if my son is cheating on taxes as Faeldon is now accusing him of. The logical thing for me to do is not make the expose and just keep quiet,” Lacson said in a text message to reporters.
Lacson also mentioned confronting his son about cement smuggling.
“…Tinanong ko rin siya, mag-e-expose ako. Baka mamaya nagsesemento kayo baka mamaya may … Sabi niya ‘Wala Daddy’. Okay fine.”
