Davaoeno lawyer says Yorme Isko Moreno is a poser, belittles “siga” credentials because he grew up in Tondo

A Davaoeno named Darwin Cañete, who is also a government prosecutor, has taken to social media to argue that Yorme Isko Moreno is anything but a “siga” or toughie.

Atty. Cañete was prompted to react after Manila Mayor Isko Moreno took a swipe at a high ranking government official (President Duterte) saying that answering like a thug no longer sells in 2022 because it was bought by the public in 2016. Yorme Isko dared the thug-talking President Duterte to step down, go to Tondo, in Moriones because they will give him what he is looking for – a fight.

Moving forward, Atty. Cañete downplayed what Yorme Isko implied that being from Tondo is supposed to be something special. That having grown up there makes him a toughie too.

Atty. Cañete remarked that he would have bought Yorme Isko’s tough-talking image had he lived in the 60s or he role-played in one of LVN film.

Atty. Cañete said that Tondo at the turn of millennia was not at the same level in some places in Mindanao in terms of warzone status.

Atty. Cañete went on to rubbed it on the face of Yorme Isko that his experience growing up in Tondo is not as tough as he wants the public to believe like what President Duterte faced when he was the Davao City mayor.

At this juncture, Atty. Cañete recalled his childhood days in Davao City wherein Davao policemen waged battles with armed killers and NPA Sparrow Units in almost a daily basis will put Isko’s “siga” credentials as a joke.

Tondo at the turn of the millennia never reached the warzone status of places in Mindanao.

Mayor Duterte himself had to contend with warring rido clans and NPA incursions and “alsa masa” retaliation.

In my childhood days, the Davao Metrodiscom had deadly encounters with “pana” armed killers, a version of “pintik” with darts as ammunition. Policemen were regularly caught in ambushes by Sparrow units deployed in squatter areas.

They’d put his “siga” credentials as a joke. Jomagoso is a poser.
